HOW THE HOMESCHOOL PROGRAM WORKS

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Yamasaki Academy of Woodbridge has expanded our Homeschool program for the 2021 school year with classes every day of the week. With at least the first semester of the school year being virtual only, we want to have more options for parents to bring their children in for physical activity with other children.

There will be some physical contact involved in these classes. Until we have moved out of Phase 3 restrictions for COVID-19, we encourage students to train with siblings only when possible and to wear masks. There will be limited switching of partners during the classes as well.

Topics in the Homeschool Program will include techniques from Judo, wrestling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. As children progress they may receive gradings on their belts when possible. We will use the IBJJF kids belt rankings for this program.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Our Homeschool program doesn't require any type of contract or commitment. You can pay for entire school year in one payment, or you can pay a monthly payment. The cost of a uniform is included. And the best part is that you can sign up for these classes right through our member website!

BENEFITS OF HOMESCHOOL TRAINING

Our Homeschool classes will include a lot of cardiovascular and strength training. We will do our best to wear them out, we promise!
Not getting hurt is possible without having to hurt someone else. We will be teaching one how to neutralize strength and size in their opponent. Our program is great for kids because they don't have to learn to be aggressive in order to defend themselves.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is probably the most difficult Martial Art in which to earn belts. There are no children Black Belts! The average child will take about a year to progress from one belt to the next. If they stick it out then they can get promoted at 16 years old to their first adult belt!
Self confidence is not easy to build. Seeing positive results through hard work helps, though. In our Homeschool program it will be because of the effort the student puts in. They will learn that they are rewarded directly for their own efforts. That confidence will carry with them in everything they do.
Pay attention to the details. Attention deficiencies are difficult to address, however we notice a great improvement in most of the children that come to us. Our parents can attest to these changes.
